March House Studio Policies

POLICIES

Project Review & Acceptance

All service requests are reviewed individually. Submission of a request does not guarantee acceptance. March House Studio may decline work based on fabric, construction, condition, requested scope, timing, capacity, or other project considerations. Work begins only after the project has been accepted and next steps have been confirmed.

Pricing & Estimates

Prices shown on the website are starting prices unless otherwise stated. Final pricing may vary based on construction, fabric, layers, detailing, condition, materials, and complexity. Custom keepsakes and bridal heirlooms are quoted individually. Final pricing is confirmed after the garment or materials have been evaluated.

Fittings, Drop-Offs & Appointments

Appointments, fittings, and drop-offs are scheduled only after a project has been accepted. One fitting is included when needed for applicable paid alteration work. Additional fittings or changes outside the original scope may result in additional charges.

Turnaround Time

Turnaround time is provided after evaluation and acceptance of the project. Completion dates are estimates unless otherwise confirmed in writing. Requested completion dates are not guaranteed.

Materials & Supplies

Zippers, specialty buttons, elastic, trim, lace, lining, interfacing, and other significant materials may be charged separately. Any additional material costs will be discussed when applicable.

Repairs & Older Textiles

Repairs are intended to extend the useful life of a garment or textile. Depending on the fabric, age, condition, and damage, repairs may remain visible. Vintage, delicate, sentimental, or previously altered materials may have limitations that cannot be fully predicted before work begins.

Keepsakes & Heirloom Projects

Keepsake and heirloom work is custom in nature. Variations in fabric, wear, age, previous construction, and available material may affect the final result. March House Studio will make reasonable efforts to preserve the character and important details of the original textile.

Shipping

Shipping is available for accepted keepsake and heirloom projects when appropriate. Customers are responsible for following provided shipping instructions. March House Studio is not responsible for loss or damage that occurs before a package is received or after it has been transferred to the return carrier, except where required by law.

Changes to Scope

Requests to add or change work after a project has been accepted may require additional time and cost. Any material change in scope must be approved before the additional work begins.

Payment

Payment terms will be provided with the accepted project or quote. A deposit may be required for projects over $100 and for custom projects requiring significant materials. Deposit requirements will be included with the project quote.. Final payment is due according to the terms provided before or at pickup, delivery, or return shipment.

Cancellations & Unclaimed Items

If a customer cancels after work or material purchases have begun, charges may apply for work already completed and materials already purchased. Completed items should be picked up promptly after notification. Items left unclaimed for more than 30 days may be subject to a storage fee. March House Studio will make reasonable efforts to contact the customer regarding unclaimed items. Any further handling of unclaimed property will comply with applicable law.

Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for providing accurate project details, relevant deadlines, and any special instructions. Garments should be clean before fitting or drop-off unless otherwise arranged.
